Kroger expanding to Kroger Marketplace in Loganville

Loganville city officials confirmed this week construction in the Loganville Crossing Shopping Center will make way for Kroger’s expansion to its new concept store designed to compete with Target known as Kroger Marketplace.

A dentist and Edible Arrangements are making plans to fill retail spaces already under construction between the existing Kroger off Highway 78 next to Applebee’s. Long-range plans include expansion of the current store between Kroger and Clark McCullers Drive near the old Loganville Middle School from 75,000 square feet to 125,000 square feet.

Along with traditional grocery essentials, the Kroger Marketplace will include home fashion and décor, jewelry, bed and bath, kitchen and small appliances, home office and toys. Additional Kroger Marketplace stores are planned on 35 acres near Martins Chapel Road and Sugarloaf Parkway in Lawrenceville and farther south on Highway 78 at the intersection of Rosebud Road in Snellville.
