Starting in October, a three-hour time limit for certain downtown parking zones will be in effect in Kennesaw from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day.

The Kennesaw City Council approved the changes “to efficiently utilize downtown parking resources and provide free, safe and convenient parking for everyone,” according to a city statement released Friday.

The three-hour limit will affect on-street and off-street parking along Main and Lewis Streets and Watts Drive.

These streets will be identified by signage to be installed this month.

Parking will continue to be free.
