Kennesaw public hearings will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday to review the zoning map and code standards to two city areas.
Regarding fireworks, those areas include Cherokee Street and downtown Kennesaw’s Central Business District.
The codes will allow retail sales of consumer fireworks in only the zoning districts of Heavy Industrial, General Commercial and Highway General Business.
A final meeting is planned by Mayor Derek Easterling and the City Council at 6:30 p.m. March 7 for possible adoption of these code standards but voting Monday on the zoning map.
The zoning map and the suggested standards may be viewed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays to Fridays in the Planning and Zoning Office, City Hall, 2529 J.O. Stephenson Ave., Kennesaw.
