A Johns Creek contractor has finished repaving neighborhood streets in 16 subdivisions and nine main roads, the city announced.

Johns Creek announced that its Public Works Department has finished repaving 8.8 miles of neighborhood streets in 16 subdivisions, the first round of repaving projects in the city’s 2019-2023 paving plan.

Crews also repaved 3.1 miles of nine main roads: Autry Mill Road, Byers Road, East Johns Crossing, Medlock Crossing Parkway, Old Crossing Way, Old Medlock Bridge Road, Rogers Bridge Road, Valais Court and West Morton Road, according to the announcement.

“The city contractor resurfaced all 16 subdivisions within the contracted schedule,” the city said. “Due to their assertive schedule and work efforts, the contractor completed all eight main roads and resurfaced an additional road, East Johns Crossing, under budget and within the contracted schedule.”

In the prior repaving program – intended to take five years, but accelerated by the City Council and completed in four – the city resurfaced streets in 111 subdivisions. Information: https://bit.ly/2DE5lYD
