Fulton County authorities were still searching Sunday for an inmate who left the county jail overnight Friday without permission.
Fulton sheriff's spokeswoman Tracy Flanagan stopped short of calling the incident an escape, saying in a release that Kojo Ocran left the facility on Rice Street in northwest Atlanta "without proper authorization."
"He is being pursued at this time, and an investigation is underway," Flanagan said.
According to jail records, Ocran was arrested on July 16 on obstruction and theft of services charges, and was being held on $1,500 bond.
