Sandy Springs Charter Middle Schools' Home Economics Club recently raised $1,162.45 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Club members challenged home rooms at each grade level to collect spare change to donate to the society's annual Pennies for Patients campaign.  In two years, the Home Economics Club has collected $2,300.
