Henry County road work approved at nearly $1 million

The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted at its regular August meeting to approve the low bid for the grading, widening and paving of Turner Church Road at a cost of $987,278.

It will be funded by the county’s special-purpose local option sales tax. Construction is expected to begin around the end of this month. Officials said at the meeting that the project should take about 300 days to complete.
