Two rezoning requests were recommended for denial by the Henry County Zoning Advisory Board at its March 14 regular meeting.

The board gave a thumbs-down to a proposal that would change RA zoning to R-2 on sewer for 87 acres on Elliott Road, and also recommended to deny an R-5 zoning request for 18 acres on the west side of Hwy. 155 north to Town Square Drive, opting to recommend approval of R-3 zoning in the latter case.

Both applicants will still have their requests heard by the Board of Commissioners at a future meeting, who can uphold the prior recommendations or reverse them.
