The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted at its Sept. 3 regular meeting to approve the purchase of a vehicle to assist crime victims in the beginning stages of the judicial process.

A total of $27,000 in federal funds for the purchase was awarded to the county and approved by the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council. The action was part of the meeting’s consent agenda, which included the conveyance of $43,607.80 in fixed assets to Henry County Water Authority for a waterline and compact wireline related to the North Ola Park expansion, along with a four-year lease agreement for three mowers at a cost of $33,181.44.

The commissioners also approved a contract for repair and recertification of laser and radar devices for public safety officers.
