The Gwinnett Parks and Recreation Department will hold a public meeting to discuss the master planning of Simpsonwood Park at 7 p.m. Nov. 12 in the Norcross High School theater, 5300 Spalding Drive in Norcross.

As part of its 2013 Parks and Recreation Capital Improvements Plan, Gwinnett had recognized the need for a large open space park in the western part of the county and acquired the 227-acre Simpsonwood property located in Peachtree Corners last year. The purchase was funded by SPLOST.

Residents may apply to serve on the Citizen Steering Committee, which will work to help formulate the master plan. Information: 770-822-8855.
