The Duluth Parks and Recreation Department will host a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday afternoon for Chattapoochee Dog Park.

The event will start at 6 p.m. at Rogers Bridge Park in the 4000 block of Roger’s Bridge Road.

Duluth is also inviting people out to Pooch Fest at the Duluth Town Green on Sunday. Plans for the dog park will be available for viewing from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
