Grayson will elect mayor and two council members this fall

Grayson will vote Nov. 7 to fill the office of mayor, currently held by Allison Wilkerson, Post 2 held by council member Trenton Arnold, and Post 4 held by council member Linda Jenkins. Exisitng terms will expire on the first Monday in January.

Anyone interesting in running for these positions may qualify beginning 8:30 a.m. Aug. 21, and ending at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 23, in the office of the city clerk at City Hall, 475 Grayson Parkway. Those desiring to run for mayor or city council member will need to pay a qualifying fee of $10.

Voting will take place 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Grayson Senior Center, 485 Grayson Parkway. Voters must be registered to vote in Grayson before 4:30 p.m. Oct. 10.
