KidsPeace, a youth mental health provider, has received a $5,000 grant from the Flint Energies Foundation to renovate staff stations at its residential treatment facility in Bowdon, according to a press release.
The staff stations are centrally located on the care units at the 80-bed facility, which provides room, board and watchful oversight for young people who need mental and behavioral health treatment in a 24/7 residential environment.
The Flint Energies Foundation grant will pay for renovations of three staff stations which were original to the West Georgia facility when it opened in 2004. The renovations will ensure better security and safety, improve functionality and help create an atmosphere that is warm, settling and comfortable for youth in care at the facility.
