Variety of volunteer positions at library
Northeast/Spruill Oaks Branch of the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System is looking for volunteers to help with a variety of jobs such as children’s program aide, computer lab specialist, computer lab trainer/workshop presenter, ESL (English as a second language) coach, homework help assistance, job search coach, library clerical aide, library user survey assistant, literacy tutor, math tutor, book shelver and Spanish language teachers.
Orientations for adults (15 and up) and youngsters (ages 12-15. Parent must attend first 10 minutes; 12-year-olds must be accompanied by adult) are taking place through May.
When: Adult: Wednesdays, 4:30-5:30 p.m. ages 15 and older; Young: Thursdays, 4:30-5:45 p.m. April 14; May 5 and 26.

Help keep Piedmont Park beautiful
Volunteers sought for Piedmont Park Conservancy’s Clean and Green team. What’s needed:
• general landscape maintenance projects
• lake edge maintenance
• maintenance of playgrounds, public facilities and athletic areas
• dark park landscape projects
• watering trees, shrubs and flowers park-wide
When: 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays through Fridays
