Kayakers, canoers needed for reservoir cleanup
Peachtree City’s Lake McIntosh reservoir will be the site of Fayette County’s next aquatic cleanup project. The county is seeking volunteers with kayaks or canoes to join its Water Guardians program to pick up trash in and around the lake. Volunteers will be provided with trash grabbers, bags and bottled water, and must complete a liability waiver. Those who register by April 1 will receive a free T-shirt. All volunteers will get lunch afterwards.
When: 8 to 11 a.m. April 8

Help DIGG pack seeds
The Decatur Library needs help to prepare donated seeds for people to check out for free from its Dekalb Invests in Growing Gardens Seed Library. When you do show up for your volunteer time, please let the Decatur Library front desk know you’re here to volunteer for Caitlin with the Seed Library.

Help with vision and hearing services
Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation is the only statewide provider of vision and hearing services. The organization needs volunteers to meet the demand for eyeglasses requests for mission trips. Help is needed to get the eyeglasses ready. Volunteer opportunities in the Recycling Center include, but are not limited to: washing and sorting eyeglasses and reading eyeglass prescriptions.
