As part of Gateway85’s commitment to safety, the CID’s Targeted Enforcement Zone program will provide additional security coverage for commercial properties during the holiday season, Gateway85 CID has contracted additional security guards to patrol the area during peak shopping hours. Patrols will also be increased late at night into the early morning.
To participate in your own safety, Gateway85 CID is reminding the public to follow the “Clean Car” campaign guidelines to keep petty crime down in the district:
• Never leave valuables in plain sight inside your car.
• Remove valuable items such as tablet computers, laptops, cell phones, purses, and wallets or lock them in the trunk of your car when your vehicle is unattended.
• Call 911 immediately if you see anything suspicious.
