On one day in November, residents in Milton and Roswell will have the opportunity to get rid of a lot of trash.

And do so for free.

Bulky Trash Amnesty Day will be held on Saturday, Nov. 18, at Roswell Public Works on 1810 Hembree Road. Trash can be brought between 8 a.m. and noon.

The event is open to only Milton and Roswell residents, and a proof of residency is required before junk is dumped.

Items accepted include mattresses, box springs, tires, sofas, tables, chairs, refrigerators, washers, dryers, grills and lawnmowers.

But some items won’t be accepted. That includes paint, televisions, monitors, hazardous waste, coolant, oil, batteries, yard waste and construction materials.
