Johns Creek residents can expect Fulton County crews doing maintenance and tree trimming along water and sanitary sewer easements in their neighborhoods in the coming weeks.
The work, to be done by motorized equipment depending on the terrain and the size of the trees and vegetation, is to ensure access for repairs and maintenance, the officials said. Crews will keep vegetation removal to a minimum.
Residents are asked to remove as much personal property from the easements as possible. Properties will be flagged and easements, identified. Residents will have two business days to remove personal belongings; work would begin about five days after flagging.
“While precautions are taken to minimize disturbance of shrubs, landscaping, flowerbeds, fences, etc. on the easement, access to sewer manholes needs to be assured,” the county said. Disturbed areas “will not be replaced by Naturchem Inc. (Fulton’s contractor), its subcontractor, or Fulton County government, which cannot be held liable for any damages.”
