If you’re searching for a good Black Friday deal, look no further than your local public animal shelter.

LifeLine Animal Project, which manages animal services for Fulton and DeKalb counties, is offering free cat and dog adoptions at all of its shelters from Black Friday, Nov. 29, through Monday, Dec. 2. Charges for the animal’s spay/neuter, microchipping and vaccines will also be waived.

Animals can be adopted from four locations in Fulton and DeKalb:

  • DeKalb County Animal Services, 3280 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, Chamblee
  • Fulton County Animal Services, 860 Marietta Blvd NW, Atlanta
  • LifeLine Cat Adoption Center, 3172 E. Ponce de Leon Ave., Scottdale
  • LifeLine Community Animal Center, 3180 Presidential Drive, Atlanta.

During last year’s “Mega Adoption Event,” more than 330 animals were adopted. The free adoptions equate to a $300 value, LifeLine said.

“LifeLine urges the Atlanta community to be part of this amazing weekend by choosing to adopt instead of shop and saving lives this Black Friday weekend,” the organization said in a statement.

You can view the available animals and get information about the shelters on LifeLine's website.
