Former President Jimmy Carter speaks out on Egypt unrest

"An earth-shaking event" -- that's how former President Jimmy Carter describes Egypt's political unrest and rioting, the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer reports.

He also said his guess is that Hosni Mubarak, the country's president, “will have to leave.”

Carter spoke on the topic during his Sunday School class at Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains, where he regularly teaches.
