DeKalb County recently accepted $1.78 million in federal funds to help deliver services to senior citizens in the county.

The county’s community development department will help deliver meals to 600 housebound seniors with the money, as well as sponsor meals at four neighborhood centers across the county and help pay for personal care for disadvantaged seniors.

The money will cover services beginning July 1 through June 2013.
