Fayette police search for 'spice'

Detective Mike Whitlow of the Fayetteville Police Department said officers found the substance at only one of the 13 stores they searched. The packets were confiscated and the owner was warned to stop all sales.

The sweep came the day after Gov. Nathan Deal signed “Chase’s Law,” named for a Fayette teenager who died March 4, that closes a legal loophole and bans all forms of synthetic marijuana.
