The Fayette Chamber of Commerce has begun searching for a new president and CEO following the April resignation of Carlotta Ungaro, who served for three years.

Former board chair Kimberly Schnoes is serving as interim president until a new executive is chosen. The search committee, led by Pinewood Forest President Rob Parker, has interviewed more than 50 state and local stakeholders and is “focusing on building the right culture internally” to shape the position description. Qualifications include a minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in business, economic and/or community development, and the person chosen will be required to live in Fayette County. The organization is posting the announcement nationwide before choosing candidates to interview.

The selection process is expected to take three to four months.
