The same dementia patient who disappeared from his Fairburn home Monday was gone again Friday and later found safe, police said.
Robert J. Arnold, 76, who also has a heart condition and walks with a cane, left his Inman Street home between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., authorities said. The family called police shortly after 5 p.m. when their search was unsuccessful.
Arnold was found Friday night and taken to a hospital for evaluation, police said.
After disappearing from his home Monday around 4:15 p.m., Arnold was found early Tuesday by a police K9 unit under some brush at the back of an industrial facility only a few hundred yards from his home.
After that incident, Fairburn police Sgt. Anthony Bazydlo told the AJC that Arnold was in "relatively good health, was up and talking to officers."
Arnold was taken to a hospital to be checked out for exposure, Bazydlo said.
