UPDATE: Church's Chicken at 1405 Moreland Ave. SE was re-inspected Monday and passed with a 98/A. Two violations were noted: failure to protect the "lip contact surface" of cups stored at a food service line, and failure to provide water at the hose used to wash a garbage container.

ORIGINAL STORY: A location of Atlanta-based Church's Chicken failed a recent health inspection, Fulton County records show.

The fast food restaurant on Moreland Avenue scored a 64/U following the Nov. 8 evaluation. Scores below 70 are considered failing.

Officials observed that the facility “requires a detailed cleaning” due to “excessive food build-up” on the ground and walls in the kitchen.

A clogged toilet in the men’s bathroom was also reported.

Another violation was doled out because the most current health inspection was not posted on the drive-thru window, as required. The location’s prior score, from October, was a 70/C.
