The legal community is buzzing because a change long sought at Fulton County Superior Court is set to take place.

No more mountainous piles of paper from civil lawsuits — about 19,000 filings in the last year alone.

No more attorneys racing to the courthouse to meet a 5 p.m. filing deadline.

Instead, lawyers and litigants will file civil complaints electronically, ending decades of the way things were done.
