The Duluth City Council approved a recommendation by a review committee to expand the Downtown Development Authority boundary map. The new map represents 221 parcels/properties included in the development area tax digest.
The Downtown Development Authority works to revitalize and redevelop the central business district. The seven-member group is tasked with developing and promoting the downtown area and financing projects within the central business district. The DDA may also issue bonds to finance projects.
The Downtown Development Authority meets at 6:30 p.m. the third Tuesday of every month at Duluth City Hall, 3167 Main St. Questions: Chris McGahee.
