The Duluth City Council recently passed a resolution to expand the boundaries of the Downtown Development Authority. The expansion reflects the redevelopment of many of the tax parcels which make up the downtown area. The area has not been evaluated for expansion since March 2000 when the DDA was reactivated.

The DDA boundaries include Proctor Square and Duluth Plaza shopping areas up to Davenport Drive along Buford Highway to the south of Highway 120/Lawrenceville Street, and between Jones and Donaville streets to the north.
