The demolition of 3545 McClure Woods Drive is the next step in the process to construct a pedestrian trail connecting the Willbrooke neighborhood to downtown Duluth. The city received six bids for the demolition with the contract going to the lowest bidder, Complete Demolition Services, for $22,000.

The new pedestrian trail will provide residents from about 300 single family homes the opportunity to more easily walk to downtown.

The demolition of the house is expected to take place in Feb. with construction to begin in March. City planners hope to have the trail open by May.
