The Duluth Fine Arts League is currently working with city staff to award a contract for the installation of Kathy Fincher’s Dream Keepers art in the Town Green. In conjunction with the installation, DFAL is making a $19,342 donation to the city’s Public Art Fund to pay for the project.
The Duluth City Council accepted the donation on Monday along with a corresponding budget amendment.
In addition, the city accepted donations of $40,550 from local vendors and citizens, including Crave Pie, Eddie Owen Presents, and Fuqua Development, to support the Duluth Public Arts Commission’s mission of promoting various types of public art in Duluth. These funds will be deposited into the Public Art Fund and used to support DPAC activities.
