Forsyth County Sheriff’s deputies are seeking the driver of a white Honda Accord in the wake of a Monday afternoon bank robbery attempt.

Law officers said the male suspect pulled into the drive-through lane at the United Community Bank branch at Ga. 9 and Francis Circle, sending in a note demanding money to a teller. When the teller activated robbery protocols, the would-be robber apparently panicked and drove off, said Lt Doug Rainwater.

Rainwater said no weapons were displayed and nobody got hurt. He said witnesses weren’t able to give a detailed suspect description. He said the Accord had what appeared to be a car dealer’s temporary license plate tag.

Anybody with information should contact the sheriff’s office at 770-781-3087
