Sugar Hill’s Level Billing Program to flatten monthly gas bills requires residents to complete the application by June 6. The program works by averaging monthly gas utility bills and flattening out the peaks and valleys to achieve a consistent bill each month. The city will continue to read meters as usual and participants will receive information on actual usage.

Settle-up processing is performed in May through June. Accounts are reviewed to determine the difference between actual consumption and budget-billed consumption. The amount due on the account (credit or debit) will be applied to the account at that time.

Renewal of the level billing plan is not an automatic process. Each customer must fill out and sign a new agreement every year.
