Two candidates qualified March 5 for the Post 2 seat on the Kennesaw City Council that was left vacant by the resignation of Yvette M. A. Daniel.

They are Kemela Carlson, a revenue management specialist, and Tracey Viars, a marketing consultant.

The election will be held on May 22.

April 24 is the voter registration deadline for Kennesaw residents at mvp.sos.ga.gov.

Early in-person voting will begin April 30 and end May 18.
