The Atlanta Regional Commission recently awarded grants to help two Gwinnett County community improvement districts with planning initiatives.

The commission gave $50,000 to the Gwinnett Place CID to help update a decade-old market assessment. The study will examine the business environment and demographics of an area that includes Gwinnett Place and Sugarloaf Parkway.

The commission also gave $20,000 to the Gwinnett Village CID to help pay for a signage and wayfinding master plan to improve traffic circulation and community identity. The study will focus on connecting the Jimmy Carter Boulevard and Indian Trail Road corridors.
