Cobb YMCAs host world’s largest swimming lesson

The McCleskey-East Cob YMCA in Marietta and the Northwest Cobb YMCA in Kennesaw will participate in the world’s largest swimming lesson on Thursday.

The two facilities and others around the world will host the 30-minute swim lesson simultaneously at 11 a.m. in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record. The event is also aimed at building awareness about the importance of teaching children to swim to help prevent drowning.
