Cobb Department of Public Safety staff are seeking applicants for the fall session of the Citizens Public Safety Academy Program.
This program provides an opportunity for Cobb residents to get an inside look at the various organizations which make up the county’s public safety efforts.
During the course, participants will experience the emergency communications center, fire, animal control and police and gain knowledge and insight into how each performs its duties to protect residents.
There is no charge for the 14-week program.
Classes will be held at 6:30 p.m. every Tuesday but beginning at 6 p.m. Sept. 8.
Class locations will change from week to week, depending on the topic or unit being discussed.
Applicants must be age 21 or older and a Cobb resident or work for Cobb government.
To be accepted into the program, applicants must fill out the application, print it and bring it in person to the Cobb Public Safety Internal Affairs Department, 1150 Powder Springs St., Suite 300, Marietta by 4 p.m. Aug. 14.
