A convicted felon who has been arrested 44 previous times was back in jail Tuesday night after Clayton County deputies made a guns and drugs bust, Channel 2 Action News reported.

The man, whose name has not yet been released by authorities, was removed from his Madeline Rose Court home in handcuffs.

The Clayton County Sheriff's Office had gotten complaints from area schools and neighbors about drug activity at the house.

Authorities obtained a search warrant after arresting someone who allegedly bought drugs and a gun from the man who lives there, Channel 2 said. The man's wife and baby were inside the house.

Officials said they found three guns, including an assault rifle, marijuana and money on the premises.

"Two handguns were found intermingled with the child's toys, and I think that was the suspect's attempt to hide them," Clayton County Sheriff Kem Kimbrough told Channel 2.

Two more people connected to the man also were arrested Monday night, the report said.

The investigation is continuing.
