The city of Atlanta has begun the third and final round of public information meetings to educate Atlantans on the infrastructure needs of the city and the infrastructure bond vote scheduled for March 17.

Mayor Kasim Reed has said he’s committed to addressing the city’s pressing infrastructure challenges and infrastructure backlog of more than $1.02 billion. To begin improving roads, bridges, sidewalks, and other critical assets, the city is proposing an infrastructure bond to pay for repairs and improvements. Registered Atlanta voters will have the opportunity to vote on the referendum.

For the next two months, the city’s infrastructure team will host a series of public information meetings designed to educate the public on the Renew Atlanta 2015 Infrastructure Bond and answer questions on the recommended projects that promote the future vitality and livability of the city.
