Chuck Warbington named Lawrenceville city manager

The Lawrenceville City Council chose Chuck Warbington to fill the position of city manager. The former director of the state’s largest Community Improvement District will now help lead Gwinnett’s county seat.

Warbington is a graduate of Georgia Tech where he received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He has served as the executive director of the Gwinnett Village CID for the past 10 years.

Warbington will be stepping into the position as former City Manager Robert ‘Bob’ Baroni, retires from 42 years of government service with the city.

“I am truly excited about building upon the tremendous assets in the city and looking forward to continuing the groundwork laid by Mr. Baroni in serving the needs of our residents, businesses and investors alike,” said Chuck Warbington.

Warbington and Baroni will work together with city leaders to transition responsibilities over the next couple of months.
