The Cherokee County School District invites prospective new teachers, bus drivers and school nutrition workers to attend its annual job fair in March.

The event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 2, at River Ridge High School, 400 Arnold Mill Road, Woodstock.

District officials said they anticipate several hundred openings for teachers, and several dozen openings for bus driver and nutrition workers. The actual number of openings will depend on retirements and enrollment growth forecasts.

“Our teachers and support staff are the primary reason our school district is one of the best in Georgia, and we’re looking for another several hundred dedicated and caring educators and support staff to join our CCSD family,” said schools Superintendent Brian V. Hightower.
