Two applicants whose business license applications had been denied due to an ongoing moratorium got no relief through their appeals to the Stockbridge City Council.

Warriors Against the Devil Ministries sought a permit for a church at 5365 North Henry Blvd. and a proposed tattoo studio was the subject of a request for 31 Hwy. 138. In both cases the council upheld the previous administrative decision to deny the application.

The council also approved a pre-qualification bid for construction of the city’s proposed new amphitheater and approved the appointments of two new members of the Youth Council Advisory Board: Jodie Alexander and Gabriel Armstead. Reappointed to the board were Ericka Harvey, Diane Miller, O. Elizabeth Martin, Pamela Warner, Joc’Quelyn Carter and Rosalynd Rawls. All of these appointments are for two-year terms and all were approved by unanimous vote.
