The Brookhaven City Council unanimously denied approval of a design contract recently. The agreement was intended to be with Sycamore Consulting Inc. to review the Brookhaven Peachtree Corridor Overlay District for the city.

The purpose of the review is to find favorable economic development projects for the overlay district. Although the city staff recommended approval of the contract, the council felt choosing a firm with more urban planning design experience and a more cost efficient option for the consultation was desired.
