The Berkeley Lake City Council voted recently to amend an ordinance related to the operating conditions of low-impact media permits.

As the city has gained more experience with media production activities taking place in the city, they realized the need to distinguish between low-impact and high-impact permits. The original ordinance made the distinction primarily based on the number of days in production.

This amendment also states low impact activities will be limited to 35 each for production-related vehicles and personnel. It will also limit low-impact permits to use of a single property or contiguous properties that have direct inter-parcel access for the movement of vehicles or people.
