Gwinnett County’s Department of Corrections is hiring at a Saturday job fair.

The department, which operates the county-run prison, is hiring corrections officers and senior corrections officers. The job fair, scheduled for Saturday, April 13, is intended to speed up the hiring process by packing all steps in the first phase into a few hours.

Candidates will get a tour of the facility, receive a background check, undergo a "behavior personal assessment" and speak with interview boards. Those interested in a job are encouraged to apply in advance at GwinnettCountyJobs.com before April 11.

Successful candidates must have no felony convictions, no misdemeanor convictions within the past three years and must not be on probation.

The job fair will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Corrections Complex, located at 750 Hi Hope Rd. in Lawrenceville.
