Henry County Commissioner Gary Barham appointed Eddie Ausband as the new District 3 representative to the Henry County Development Authority board, filling the unexpired term of Charles Mobley.

The appointment was confirmed by a vote of the commissioners at a recent meeting, and Ausband was sworn in by Probate Judge Kelley Powell at the HCDA’s January meeting. He has been a businessman in McDonough for three decades in the insurance industry and for the past 11 years has owned a franchise with a leading company in fire and water cleanup and restoration. He serves on the Atlanta Regional Commission and is a past chairman of the Henry County Chamber of Commerce, as well as numerous other civic and community endeavors.
