An audit from the University System of Georgia found Albany State University admitted several hundred freshmen who failed to meet minimum test score requirements.

The college must improve the services offered to students with disabilities and the way staff stores student files, the report said.

Albany Stare President Everette Freeman scheduled a meeting for Friday to discuss the report with students, faculty and staff.  Freeman said the college is providing additional training to fix the problems and will use new controls to prevent them from happening again.

"Right now, we are working to address all of the issues," Freeman said in a statement.
