Pack an umbrella as you head out to work, study or play early Monday. Cloudy skies and showers will be in the mix for the first part of the week, but by the middle of the week, warm spring temps will be in full force.

"Temperatures Monday will start in the low 50s and top out in the mid 60s by late afternoon," according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brad Nitz He sets the rain chance Monday at 60 percent.

Scattered storms return Tuesday as temperatures climb into the low 70s, Nitz said.

"There may even be some rumblings of thunder later in the day, but no severe weather, Nitz said.

By mid week expect temperatures to rise to the mid-70s with partly cloudy skies.

"By Wednesday, we're talking mid to upper 70s" in metro Atlanta, Nitz said. Thursday could bring more of the same, with a high of 76, he  said.
