Once again the Atlanta Police Department is gearing up to train and connect average citizens who want to keep an eye on their neighborhoods. The department is holding its annual Citywide Neighborhood Watch Training and Exposition in November, a chance for citizens to learn about how to keep a watchful eye, according to a press release.

The Crime Prevention Unit is running the event,10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Public Safety Headquarters at 226 Peachtree Street SW.

There will be other divisions from the city of Atlanta in attendance, along with members of the Atlanta Police Department’s Gang Unit. Residents are encouraged to come and get to know the city and neighbors.

Refreshments will be provided.

There’s free parking available at the building’s parking deck. Enter the parking deck from the Pryor Street side of the building.

The registration deadline is Tuesday, Oct. 29.
