Atlanta City Council will also review several property damage claims.

The Atlanta City Council’s first regular meeting of 2017 includes a consent agenda with proposed ordinances to amend the fiscal year water and wastewater renewal and extension fund budget, extend the 2009 cable franchise agreement between the city of Atlanta and Comcast of Georgia/Virginia and to designate an account from which advance payments will be made for certain Atlanta Police Department operational expenses, among other measures.

The items in a consent agenda are voted on in a single motion.

Under the public safety and legal administration committee’s items are claims against the city, including claims such as property damage allegedly sustained from storm water flooding at Ansley Forest apartments in 2015 and alleged property damage from a water main break on Stephens Mill Run in June.
