Two committees of Atlanta's City Council will hold a joint work session on tax allocation districts at 3 p.m. Monday, July 9. The meeting is scheduled for Committee Room 2 in City Hall, 55 Trinity Ave. Tax allocation districts, or TADs, are a widely used economic development tool. But a recent audit indicated they have vastly uneven results in Atlanta and require more oversight. The Community Development/Human Resources and Finance/Executive committees are scheduled to discuss TADs in the public meeting.
